Archbishop Desmond Tutu has quited as ambassador of the UK based Oxfam after the charity alleged to have used prostitutes in Chad.
Archbishop Tutu who is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate becomes the latest high-profile person to end his relations with the charity.
Another ambassador who has stepped down is Good Will Hunting actress Minnie Driver.
Last week the UK International Development Secretary Penny Mordaunt threatened to cut funds for the charity.
News reports that the charity was involved in sexual misconduct in Haiti in 2011 Chad in 2006 Roland van Hauwermeiren was a country director .
Hauwermeiren was transferred from Chad in 2006 to Haiti where he was suspended for investigations on the allegations.
Reports said further that the Archbishop was so saddened by the allegations of what he has called ‘of immorality and possible criminality ‘ committed by humanitarian workers connected to Oxfam.
Oxfam is now facing criticism from all corners of the global with some of the ambassadors leaving the charity.
