There are reports that a prominent Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter has been arrested along with two other individuals for allegedly dealing in forged Treasury Bills worth 633 million (Tanzanian shillings 13.3 billion).
The embattled lawmaker was arrested by plain-clothed officers alongside two directors of Desai Industries Madat Chatur and Arthur Sakwa.
Representatives from the Kenyan Central Bank confirmed that the trio tried to present forged bills to CBK director Patrick Njoroge.
They have been taken to CID Headquarters for interrogation.
