The government South Africa has agreed to continue train Tanzanian pilots and promote development of aviation transport to maintain the relationship between the two countries.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and East Africa Co-operation in Tanzania Augustine Mahiga said today when specifying about pre-discussion between Tanzania and South Africa various treaties which are expected to be signed.
Minister Mahiga said the discussion touched past treaties that were signed to assess its implementation and to discuss new treaties based on various sectors including transport, energy, education and communication.
He said on travel sector they agreed to improve road infrastructure, aviation and railway especially Tazara. The Minister also briefed the envoy about Tanzania’s new planes and they others ordered which may fly to South Africa prompting Tanzanian Pilots to be trained in South Africa.
The event is part of South African President Jacob Zuma who is now in Tanzania for official visit.
