The Mayor of Dar es Salaam, Isaya Mwita, today today left Tanzania and departed for Iran where he is invited for official visit of 10 days.
Mayor Mwita during his tour in Iran he will attend two conferences to be held in Bashar City after which his schedule includes speaking to the President of the Muslim Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani.
According to the program a two day conference in Bashar City will discuss on how to develop their relative cities.
Dar es Salaam Mayor Mwita will also visit Tehran City from an invitation of the Mayor of that City, Mahammed Bakir Galbaf. Their meeting is expected discuss about business opportunities between Dar es Salaam and Tehran City.
"Tanzania and Iran are close friendly countries for a long time and they countries and have been cooperating on many aspects. This is a chance for Tanzania to get new ideas which may help to further develop our city of Dar es Salaam, Mayor Mwita said.
