BISHOP of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Njombe, Alfred Maluma has said Tanzanians need to be responsible to take care of people living with disabilities.

He was speaking today while paying the last respect to the conjoined twins, the late Maria and Consolata who died on June 2, this month.

“They are still people in the society who view people living with disabilities as a burden. This is wrong,” the Bishop said.

He acknowledged Maria Consolata Sisterhood work for taking good care of the late Maria and Consolata until their death.

The requiem service to pay last respects to the deceased twins at the Ruaha Catholic University grounds was attended by thousands people.

He also acknowledge government support for the late conjoined twins Maria and Consolata during their lifetime.
