THE government plans to renovate dilapidated colleges in the country, the deputy minister of State in President’s office responsible for local government and local government George Kakunda said today.
He was in parliament while responding to a question raised by Civic United Front legislator for Kilwa South Selemani Bungara who wanted to know plans by the government to renovate old buildings.
The deputy minister noted that said the government has set aside funds to renovate old college buildings in the country to curb further damage.
The CUF legislator for Temeke constituency Abdalah Mtoea wanted to know the fate of Bandari college students who have not yet been given certificates since their graduation in 2015.
Responding, the deputy minister said the government was working on the certificates issue.
