TANZANIA plans to employ secondary school teachers to curb the current shortage of staff in most public secondary schools in the country.
Deputy Minister of State in President’s office responsible for Local Government and Regional Administration (TAMISEMI) Josephat Kandege said today in parliament that science teachers’ employment will be given priority.
The minister said the government was looking forward to train science teachers that would better relate to the industrial drive being touted by the government.
was responding to a question earlier raised by Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) legislator for Masasi Rashid Chuachua who wanted to know plans by the government to end shortage of science school teacher in nine secondary schools in his constituency.
Recently Tanzania government said it would employ 52,000 civil servants to serve in various sectors in the country.
