A Member of Parliament for Kondoa urban Edwin Sanda (CCM) has acknowledged government for the provision of an ambulance car of Maruti make for Kondoa hospital.
We appreciate for the help, but the vehicle cannot withstand road infrastructure in the rural areas which are full of pot holes,” he said.
The legislator was speaking in parliament today during a questions and answer sessions where he said the hospital serves many patients most of whom are within the town areas.
Responding, the deputy minister of State in President’s Office responsible for Local Government and Regional Administration (TAMISEMI) Josephat Kandege said donated president by the government was among the several such vehicles distributed in other hospitals countrywide.
In her supplementary question, Former first lady Salma Kikwete wanted to know when the government would send a car to the Chief Medical Officer of the Sokoine hospital at the Lindi hospital.
Responding, Kandege said the vehicle would be dispatched soon depending on the funds availability.
