THE ACT-Wazalendo legislator for Kigoma North Zitto Zuberi Kabwe has faulted the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party’s ideology and publicity secretary Humphrey Polepole for interfering with Ujiji municipal council’s decision to increase levy charges.
He said Polepole intervened the implementation of the newly introduced levy in the council, which was agreed by the municipal councilors committee.
According to the MP, interfering with committees’ decision was contrary to local government regulations.
“CCM does not have the mandate to meddle with the local administration procedures aimed at developing the public in the council local people at the municipal levels in the country,” he said.
He asked why the CCM ideology and publicity secretary should meddle with the decisions made by the municipal council.
Responding, the responsible deputy minister George Kakunda said he has not yet received update reports, promising to make follow-up.
