The ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi has nominated former opposition members of Parliament from Chadema to vie for the Parliamentary seat on CCM ticket.

 The party has sent back the former Siha and Kinondoni MPs to run for their position in their former constituencies.

The statement released today, Saturday January 6, 2018 by the CCM ideology and publicity secretary Humphrey Polepole said that after a thorough investigation the CCM's National Executive Committee (NEC) and its mandate given by the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) has appointed Dr Godwin Mollel to vie for the parliamentary seat in Siha constituency in Kilimanjaro region and Maulid Mtulia to stand  for  Kinondoni constituency in Dar es Salaam .

Polepole said in his statement that all parliamentary candidates should report to the CCM offices in their respective regions ready to receive instructions on election (polls) from the CCM headquarters on Tuesday January 09,2018.
