ILLEGAL immigrants from Ethiopia have been arrested on Sunday at around 21:00 hours at a house they were resting in Goba in the outskirts of Dar es Salaam.
Police were informed of their presence by a good Samaritan after the person who kept them went out to look for a vehicle to transport them.
However, one died at the house where they were lodging two days and were planning to damp him before Samaritans discovered his secret plans.
Dar es Salaam Special Police Zone Commander SACP Lazaro Mambosasa said in a statement police will soon reveal the destination of the nabbed Ethiopians.
In recent years, Tanzania has become the transit zone for illegal immigrants from Ethiopia with thousands being transported illegally in tracks on their way to South Africa.
