Downpour has killed four people in Kiteto district, Manyara region.
The deceased were swept by floods caused by the ongoing rains in the country.
The Kiteto district commissioner, Tumaini Magessa confirmed the incident on Friday saying the incidents happened in separate events in Matui, Engusero wards and in Ndaleta village in Njoro ward.
The DC said the first incident happened on Thursday evening at Matui village where two people were washed by floods when going back home.
He named the deceased as Alhaman Gola (37) a farmer from Matui village and Abuu Juma (27) from Chapakazi village.
The other person, one Hamis Chilogola (22) drown in a river when crossing with other colleagues who managed to cross safely.
They were on their way to visit patients admitted at Matui Health Centre.
Magessa said the fourth person was identified as Ally Hamis (25) a Chilongola resident.
He said Hamis was crossing a river with his motorcycle when floods swept him to death.
Magessa caution people to be careful when crossing rivers due to the heavy rains.
