A prominent businessman and politician from opposition side, Pilemon Ndesamburo has died today aged 82.
The former Legislator for Moshi Town and CHADEMA Chairperson in Kilimanjaro Region died earlier today at KCMC hospital according to the reports.
A statement issued by North Zone Secretary for CHADEMA, Amani Golugwa confirmed the death of Ndesamburo, saying he felt sick and was immediately rushed to KCMC Hospital until he died.
The late Philemon Kiwelu Ndesamburo was born in February 19, 1935 and apart from engaged himself into business, Ndesambulo joined Chama Cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Chadema), an opposition party and he was one of the main sponsors
The late Ndesamburo also commonly known as ‘Ndesapesa’ in his early ages, he was government employee before shifted into self-employment as businessman. He is also the owner of Dar es Salaam’s Keys Hotels Ltd.
However, Ndesambulo was elected Member of Parliament for Moshi Urban in 2000 until 2015 when he deliberately decided to retire from politics.
The late Ndesamburo owned a helicopter which added his popularity in Kilimanjaro region and the whole country in general.
According to eye witnesses from Moshi town after his death, the chopper he own was seen on air making rounds trips to alert people of his death.
