Rains continuing to pour in Dar es Salaam and other parts of the country have killed two people and caused huge destruction, Regional Police Commissioner, Simon Sirro has confirmed.
Apart from deaths and destruction, six families have lost their residents after their roofs were blown away by strong winds, he added.
Speaking today in Dar es Salaam Regional Police Commissioner (RPC) Simon Sirro, said last Sunday in Gorani Suka area child, Alice Genadi (4), died after falling in a toilet pit full of water.
At Kimara Temboni a mason identified as Zakaria died after a wall collapse on him and his body was taken to Tumbi Hospital in Coastal region, RPC Sirro said. 
He added, the six houses which lost roofs are in Golani Kimbiji area, where the rain also destroyed Mwasonga road.
