Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) has announced a free-of-charge for Tanzanian who wishes to visit any of their national parks between 2-4 June this year to commemorate the World Environment day on 5th June.
TANAPA statement said that the fee waiver includes entrance fees, tour fees, conservation fee and motor vehicle fee. However for Mount Kilimanjaro the offer will be for only one trip.
Other fees such as, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included.
The statement from TANAPA pleads for many Tanzanians to use the chance so that Tanzanians enjoy tourism attractions.
The commemoration of world environment day for Tanzania will be in Mara Region
The D-Day will be in Mara Region, perfectly to honour the late Father of the Nation, former President Julius Kambarage Nyerere who is known to be an environment activist.
The statement has further said that the Ministry responsible for environment is eager to use the opportunity to create awareness on environment issues including “Tanzania without charcoal is possible”.
Tanzania Vice President, Samia Hassan Suluhu is expected to be the guest of honour.
