The government of Tanzania has denied payment decisions to the workers who found guilt with fake educational and professional certificates.

This was said by Minister of State in the President's Office-Public Service Management and Good Governance Angella Kairuki when she visited Kinondoni Municipal today to appreciate challenges facing by workers at the municipal.

Kairuki asked people in the country to wait for government stand on the matter.

She also said that verification exercise for credentials of civil servants is expected to end in September this year.

“As the government, we have not yet made any decision on whether to pay civil servants found with fake certificates or those who did not present cerificates for verification, we ask all people to wait for the government to come up with its stand on this matter,”she said.

The minister also ordered 97 Kinondoni Municipal Servants who have not yet submitted their certificates for verification to do as soon as possible.

The minister wondered as to why the workers with unsuspicious qualifications are delaying to present them for verification.

She said presenting the papers on time will help the government to be assured that it has right people executing its activities.

Minister Kairuki also took a platform to warn public servants for distribute ‘government’s secret informations’ saying:  "Soon the government is going to take actions against public servants who leak government information to the public, this is against rules and regulations of Public Servants.”

On the other hand, the Minister assured Tanzanians that it will fill gaps created by workers who were dismissed from work place due irregularities in their credentials.

Due to the credential irregularities, Kinondoni District has a deficit of 300 health workers and the minister assured it that it will be filled during the new recruiting exercise.
