Tanzania: Govt seizes Yusuf Manji’s big farm in Kigamboni

The government of Tanzania has today confiscated undeveloped lands, including two ‘idle’ large farms in Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam.

The farms which their ownership has been revoked  including 5400 hectres of land known as Amadori farm belongs to Amodori Company, and 715 hectres property owned by Tanzania Business tycoon Yusuph Manji.

On behalf of Tanzanian President John Magufuli, the decision announced by Minister for Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development, William Lukuvi during his visit at Kigamboni Municipal council in Temeke district Dar es Salaam.

According to the Minister, the seized farms have remained dormant for more than ten years.
