Former President Jakaya Kikwete has pledged to contribute 300 bags of cement for health centres, schools and teachers houses construction in Chalinze constituency
He made the pledge today on his tour of Kwakonje village located at Kibindu ward within the constituency of his son Ridhwan Kikwete.
The former president had represented the constituency for 10 years before being selected as president in 2005.
During his visit to the village, the former president who met with his son placed a brick at a dispensary construction site to show the support for the projects.
He congratulated his son for coming up with various development projects in the constituency.
“At my time as an MP in the area, there were no such impressive development that am seeing today,” the former president said asking them to work closely with their MP to achieve the laid down plans.
Ridhwan Kikwete, acknowledged the support and for his continued contribution in the constituency.
