Two National Environmental Management Council officers have appeared before the Kisutu Resident Magistrate Court facing three counts including forgeries.
The public prosecutor, Narindwa Sekimanga, before Principle Resident Magistrate , Huruma Shaidi alleged today that the defendants Andrew Karua and Anord Kirisaga allegedly conspired to commit a mistake, forgery and representing a forged documents.
The defendants are alleged that between March 1, 2017 and July 7 ,2017 at Mikocheni area, intended to disseminate the forged documents for the purpose of cheating.
It is allegedly that the defendants forged an overview of the consulting committee of the sector that went through the East Coast Liquid Storage Limited meeting.
The company is located in Plot No.231 in Kurasini, Temeke district, Dar es Salaam.
At a professional consulting committee held on April 11, 2017, at the NEMC hall and they decided to talk about deficiencies while they knew it was not true.
Kalua claimed that on June 16, 2017, the defendants submitted a forged document to Cecilia Toto Douglas.
The accused denied all the charges of which are said their investigations were incomplete
Principle Resident Magistrate Shaidi offered bail conditions to the defendants.
The Principle Resident Magistrate called on each defendant to have two sureties who have identification letters to qualify signing a bond of up to Sh5million each. The accused fulfilled the conditions and are out on bail.
