Tanzania former Prime Minister Edward Lowassa has been asked to report again to the Police headquarters by next week (July 20) for another interrogation.
Lowassa was turnout to the Police for the third time after received a summon from director of Criminal investigation (DCI) Robert Boaz at the end of last month, wanted him to report to the headquarter for interrogation.
Police had released him on a bail on June 27, but he attended on June 29 and asked to appear at the Police headquarter on July 13, this year.
According to Chadema’s lawyer Peter Kibatala, Lowassa reported to the DCI’s office for interrogation as allegedly for making seditious remarks at the iftar dinner hosted by Ukonga Member of Parliament (Chadema) Mwita Waitara on Holy month of Ramadhar.
Lowassa was accompanied by Chadema’s lawyer Peter Kibatala and other few leaders of his party. The security at the areas nearby the Police was not tight compared to the first day he was attending to respond for the DCI’s summon.
