President of Tanzania John Magufuli has asked Tanzanians to work hard and be satisfied with their incomes instead of continuing demanding increment of salaries without working, in order to reverence Father of the National, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere.
Magufuli revealed this at the climax of the Uhuru Torch race ceremony which matches with the commemoration of the 18th anniversary of the death of Tanzania’s first president Julius Nyerere held at Amani Stadium in Urban West Region, Zanzibar.

“At his ruling tenure of 25 years, Mwalimu Nyerere was a real nationalistic, who never stole money from the government but dared to share his salary with people in need…my intention is not denying increasing salaries to workers, wanting people to stop forcing the government to increase the salary,” he said.
He added: “Before starting demand salary increment you should know the situation that government is passing through, Tanzanians need social services like health, education and water.”
Magufuli said the government is respecting Mwalimu Nyerere’s ambitions and all his fights by action; Mwalimu’s dream was Tanzania to become as the industrialization nation, the government started implementation as already built 3306 new industries from 2015.
According to Magufuli, also the government has already started procedure of shifting its offices to Dodoma, whereby other top leaders have moved to the Nation Capital city in Dodoma.
