Tanzanian President appoints Commissioner Sirro as new IGP

Tanzanian President Dr John Pombe Magufuli has appointed Commissioner Simon Sirro as the new Inspector General of Police to replace Ernest Mangu who will be allocated to another post.

Before being appointed as a new IGP, Sirro was Police Commander in charge for Dar es Salaam special zone.

According to Tanzania’s Chief Permanent Secretary Ambassador John Kijazi,  Commissioner Sirro will be sworn-in as a new IGP tomorrow at State House.
