The United States  has given condition on meeting North Korea for talks, saying ending nuclear programme is a key.

Already the US has sent Ivanak Trump,a senior official in the closing of Olympic games in Seol, South Korea where Pyongyang has also sent senior officials.

Reports by Reuters said if talks have to be conducted, they must lead into halting nuclear programme.

Reports said further however that the North Korea Delegation met at undisclosed place with South Korea President Moon Jae-in where they conveyed their interest to meet with.

South Korea President’s office said in a statement that the North Korea had wanted relations between Pyongyang and Seoul to go hand in hand with that of the U.S.

The so seems to be the start of good relations between the two Koreans have been pushed by the presence of Olympic games in South, but already the US has imposed a more sanctions on the North to pressurize it stop its nuclear programme.

Pyongyang accused the Trump administration saying imposition f new sanction was a call for confrontation on the Korean Peninsula.

But the U.S stressed that the sanctions are there to stay.

Moon, the North Korean delegation, and Ivanka Trump, U.S. President Donald Trump’s daughter, were among dignitaries who attended the Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday.

Ivanka Trump, a senior White House adviser, did not interact with the North Korean delegation, a senior U.S. administration official said. 

North Korea sent former military intelligence chief Kim Yong Chol, an official accused of being behind a deadly 2010 attack on a South Korean warship, to lead its delegation.
