Fraudulent transactions in state bank now reach $1.281bn

DECEITFUL transactions involving the India’s Punjab National Bank could go up by about $204million in addition to $1.77 billion reported earlier.

Reuters reported that earlier this month, the state-run bank said it detected unauthorized transactions of about $1.77 billion at one of its Mumbai branches.

At least a dozen people half from the bank and six more from Modi’s and Choksi’s companies - have been detained by police.
