Japan has given to Tanzania over Sh800 million grant for four projects meant to improve the sectors of health and education across the country.

Japan grants Tanzania 800m/- for several projects

Japan has given to Tanzania over Sh800 million grant for four projects meant to improve the sectors of health and education across the country.

Projects to benefit from the grant include reconstruction of  Nyakato and Kashozi primary schools in Kagera Region which were affected by earth quake last year and construction of observation room and outpatient department (OPD) block at the Temeke referral hospital in Dar es Salaam.

Other projects are improving studying environment at the technical college in Yombo  also ni Dar es Salam and construction of a new theatre in Mafinga hospital in Iringa region.

Speaking during the handover ceremony in Dar es Salaam, the Japanese Ambassador to Tanzania, Masaharu Yoshida, said Japan will continue to support education and health sectors in the country because they were vital for community welfare.
