LOCAL traders have been invited to tap various opportunities in the coming Algeria International Trade fair to be held in the North African city of Algiers later on this year.
Speaking to Azania Post, the Executive Director of Tanzania Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) Dar es Salaam Region, Gotfrid Muganda said the Algerian chamber has sent the invitation.
“We have been invited to attend the said fair slated for 8 to 13 May this year, I ask traders to come at our offices for registration, “he said.
He said Algeria has a lot of economic opportunities which can Tanzanian businessmen can use to improve their activities.
Citing he said, the North African nation is desert so it needs a lot of crops which are found in Tanzania and could benefit local traders.
The country needs a lot of natural fruits, coffee, honey and spices which are available in Tanzania in a large quantity, he said.
The fair is one of the biggest events in Africa which aims to promote business relationships and to provide the platform for all companies participating and visiting share latest technologies in production and cooperation in investment opportunities.
One of TCCIA’s main objectives is to keep Chamber members and the business community updated with the latest economic development and regulations, business opportunities, facilities and relevant business contacts through well-documented materials.

The Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture is governed by a Board of Directors, National Executive Council and an Annual General Meeting(AGM) which collects suggestions and information from Chamber members for consideration or action.
