A Tanzanian businessman James Rugemalira who is facing economic sabotage case has asked the court to allow him to meet with the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) in order to provide evidence of who should be arrested in the case.
Rugemalira made the request at Kisutu Resident Mgistrate Court today before Principle Resident Magistrate Huruma Shaidi.
The request was made after the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau prosecutor, Leonard Swai, explained that the investigation of the case was incomplete, so the Court has to postpone it.
After the statement, Rugemalira raised his hand and was allowed by the magistrate only to ask said he had gone with evidence of the case.
But he requested to meet the DPP to help him realise the actual thief who is supposed to be arrested because his aim is to show that they are in the right pass.
After his statement, the Magistrate asked Rugemalira to communicate with his lawyers on the evidence he has. The case was adjourned until January 5, 2018.
