Dr. Mpango said it is expected that enhancement of commercial banks’ liquidity will stimulate lending to the private sector at comperatively low cost. It is our hope that with this decision, the commercial banks will be able to raise sufficient liquidity to lend at low interest rates, to private sector and general public at large.
