SMALL entrepreneurs in Dar es Salaam region Tanzania have praised authorities for constructing building that would enable them conduct business and increase income to the government hence improve livelihood.
The two storey building would be constructed at Mwanyamala area by Dar es Salaam City Council in collaboration with other stakeholders.
Speaking to Azania Post Reporter during foundation stone laying ceremony held today, they said once completed the building will enable them to conduct business under one roof.
Magreth Msuya is one of the entrepreneurs who said that before they had no center to sell their products they were roaming in the street but now they will have a place that will help them to link with buyers.
On her part, the Dar es Salaam City Director Sipora Liana, said the said building would cost shillings 200 million upon completion and accommodate over 83 entrepreneurs.
She added that DCC has set aside 10 percent of income that would be distributed to youth, women and disabled.
Earlier, the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Paul Makonda, said they would allocate more areas in the city that would house entrepreneurs.
