Vodacom board member  resign after end of tenure

A BOARD member for a leading telecommunication company, Vodacom Tanzania Michael Joseph has resigned after successfully serving for seven years in the multi-national firm.

A statement issued by Vodacom Tanzania said Joseph relinquished his membership with Vodacom Tanzania’s Board of Directors effectively from January 22, this year.

“Joseph has served on the Vodacom Tanzania Board of Directors since January 4, 2013,” said part of the statement.

The statement quoting his fellow directors acknowledged his support and the significant contribution he made for the company’s development during his tenure.

Prior to serving as the Board Member for Vodacom Tanzania, Joseph also served as the Vodafone’s Director of Mobile Money in 2011 and has successfully served on the Boards of Vodafone African Subsidiaries including Vodacom Mozambique, Vodacom Group South Africa and Safaricom Limited in Kenya.

The telecommunication firm, which is listed at the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) has over 20 million customers.
