CONSTRUCTION of 88 teacher’s offices in Dar es Salaam region, Tanzania will start soon, thanks for the CRDB bank donation worth shillings 100 million.
Speaking during a cheque handing over ceremony, Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Paul Makonda said the money would buy 20,000 cement bags and produce 560,000 bricks for construction of 88 teacher offices.
He thanked CRDB bank for the donation which would enable teachers to work under conducive environment and asked well-wishers to continue supporting education sector in the region.

“My assignment is to assist President Magufuli to work on challenges facing our region particularly in education sector,” he said.

He also said that President Magufuli decided to provide free education to all citizens who enrolled in primary and secondary schools.
“But ever since he made the announcement majority of government schools have been facing a lot of challenges one of them being lack teacher’s offices,” said the RC.
On his part, the CRDB bank Managing Director, Dr Charles Kimei congratulated the Regional Commissioner for being innovative.
He said the bank would add another 100m/- to support education activities in Dar es Salaam region.
