Tanzania’s Bongo Fleva super star, Ali Kiba says his Swahili singing is not an obstacle for him towards the international audience, instead he says it is a wide spread language and he is proud of it.

“Language plays part in understanding music but if the music is good, language does not matter, we have enjoyed music of foreign language from Congo, India, Arabian countries and some English songs that up to today we don’t even know what they meant.” Kiba told EATV’s eNewz.

Swahili speaking regions are shown in green.

“When I sing in Swahili I contribute in the growth of my national language, it is a very respect language in Africa. I have performed in countries like Finland, Nigeria and Oman and these people do not understand Swahili but they were singing along because I sang well.”

Ali Kiba is currently making waves with his latest single ‘Seduce Me’, the Man Water-produced track has gained gained more than 6 million views on youtube..
