Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz has branched into various business ventures since rising to stardom but not abandoning his mark on the music business and has now come to disclose which business venture pays him more.
Diamond told BBC Swahili in his United Kingdom media tour that Diamond Karanga pays him more than Chibu Perfume, well of course leaving aside the music business.
This was something anybody would see coming because you would find empty Diamond Karanga packets almost every trash can in the city unlike the luxury product, Chibu Perfume which is relatively expensive.
Continuing, he said, “the reason why open business ventures is to make sure I use the opportunity I have right now to my advantage, even when I retire from music I can still have income to support myself.”
“You can be a musician and at the same time do other things in a proper manner and provide jobs to the society and make a better future for yourself and your family even when you can no longer sing,” he added.
Diamond Platnumz had a clothing venture, ‘Wasafi Classic’ back in 2010, he closed it due to small profit returns.
