In January 2015, two years before he was sworn in as president, Donald Trump was set to step into the same role in a very different capacity. He had signed on to play the president in 2015's ‘Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!’.
Lead star, Ian Ziering, who had also appeared in the 14th episode of Donald Trump’s TV show ‘The Celebrity Apprentice Season 7 was instrumental in getting Donald Trump to take the role as U.S President in the third installment of television film ‘Sharknado’.
“Donald Trump said yes to the role and was delighted to be asked,” recalls David Latt, the co-founder of The Asylum, the film’s production company.
A contract was drawn up and sent to Trump’s attorney Michael D. Cohen - the same attorney currently under FBI investigation in connection with the Russia inquiry.
Trump went quiet for weeks until when Cohen replied that Trump was going to run for real presidency, Trump wants to become the 45th President of the United States of America.
Looks like Donald Trump stood behind the presidential podium and saw a movie role coming close to reality. His role in Sharknado was played by Mark Cuban.
