President Magufuli appreciates Ruge, artists for being patriotic

President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. John Magufuli has appreciated efforts done by Bongofleva artists on promoting patriotism in the country.

President complimented the artists on their gig to celebrate the laying of foundation stone for the construction of the Hoima-Tanga Crude oil pipeline, which done by the two Presidents Magufuli and his counterpart Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni at Chongoleani, Tanga region.

“I appreciate what the artists are doing and I congratulate Tanzania House Talent (THT) under Ruge Mutahaba for bringing artists together onstage for the song ‘Ishi-na-Mimi’,” President Magufuli said.

According to the President, apart from entertaining the song carries a message to remind Tanzanian on the important of keeping peace and love to one-another.

Some lyrics of the song in Kiswahili language “Nchi yangu Tanzania, mengi najivunia...Kuijenga asili ya Tanzania, mimi sijakosea...Tusigombane kwa siasa, baba, mama, kaka, dada... Itawale Amani sasa weweee…”

More than 35 artists perfomed including Dogo Janja, Ben Pol, Ivrah, Peter Msechu, Stamina, Msami, Shilole, Stamina, Madee and Feza Kessy among others had the chance to perform the song ‘Ishi na Mimi’.

Ishi-na-Mimi Concert will be held tomorrow at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam and more than two dozens of artists will be onstage.
