Tanzanian renowned Hip Hop artist ROMA challenged Media which favour artists, saying favoring them by giving plenty airtime to their music regardless the quality it is actually digging their graves.
“I advise artists to depend on their talent and not media connections because anytime a disconnection may happen and if you cannot maneuver on your own then that becomes the end of you,” said ROMA.
R.O.M.A (Rhymes of Magic Attraction) a singer of hit song ‘Zimbabwe’ disclosed this on an interview with local radio “Times Fm” through its program The Playlist.
He insisted supporting few artists is not a good thing because it stops the artist prospering.
ROMA, who nicknamed MKATOLIKI quoted: “I am not depending much on Media, I believe in the streets, I want the streets to understand me. My songs don’t do well on Media’s top charts, but when I’m on stage the crowd knows what ROMA does.”
ROMA’s real name Ibrahim Mussa now trending with ‘Hivi Ama Vile’ his first single off the collaboration project with Bonaventura Kibogo alias STAMINA, the two formed a coalition name (ROSTAM).
ROMA’s single ‘Zimbabwe’ has sparked numerous theories including him allegedly having Zimbabwe as his political asylum option.
