Tanzanian socialite Jokate ‘Kidoti’ Mwegelo wants the youth to use social media productively for individual development and improved welfare.
The entrepreneur said through an interview with East Africa Radio Thursday that youth should not only use social media for their leisure rather for investment on their economic sphere.
“It is not the matter of how ‘I’m dressed today’ but how do I use the social platforms to sail my life,” she said.
Jokate who has teamed up with Sahara Group for a youth awareness campaign said she will be happy if many companies deal with youth to let them know their roles in the society.
''I think many companies must put emphasis training young people to know that social media is a power to their future. If they use them positively they are able to reap what they have invested,” she said.
