THE East African young researchers will be empowered to shape the future of industry in the region , the EAHRC has said.
Already the East African Health Research Commission (EAHRC), has launched the Young East African Health Research Scientists Forum (YEARS' FORUM) an initiative aimed to empower researchers to be able to shape the future of research for health in the region
YEARS’ Forum was approved by the 15th EAC Sectoral Council of Ministers of Health as one of the pre-conference meetings of the East African Health and Scientific Conference.
According to EAC, the initiative intends to achieve a culture of research and support for young scientists in heath science.
EAHRC seeks to enroll the most outstanding young researchers from across the East African Community with potential to lead and impact research for health through their initiative and innovation.
YEARS’ Forum is open to young East African health research scientists who meet some criteria which include to be officially registered as PhD Student with an approved research thesis proposal
They should be citizens of EAC Partner States (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda) have less than 35 years of age at the time of application submission and working in health research, academic or related institutions in East Africa;
