Alliance for Democratic Change (ADC) Chairperson Hamad Rashid has urged other political parties to calmly solve their internal disagreements through dialogue, desired them to borrow a leaf from his party.
“In five years of existing we have passed through ups and downs, but the secret behind our success was dialogue, we have managed to solve our political instability through sitting down for dialogue,” he said.
Rashid declared to have internal conflict with Said Miraji who was the ADC’s first Chairperson and other four members, but they reached to the consensus after had dialogue without taking the matter to the court.
Rashid who is also Minister for Agriculture, Natural Resources, Livestock and Fisheries in Zanzibar commented the ongoing dispute within Civic United Front (CUF); “CUF should solve their differences on conducting dialogue and not keeping on accusing one-other as well as lodge cases to the court."
He cautioned the CUF members to avoid running to the court of law because such decisions might lead them into another conflicts.
On his party, ADC General Secretary Doyo Hassan Doyo appealed to Tanzania President John Magufuli to allow political parties public rally c conduct for the welfare of their parties.
“Today we are marking five years of ADC, but what we’ve achieved today might be more if we could be allowed to conduct party’s meeting, speaking to citizens enables the party to know and assess its stance,” he said.
