Nzega, Tabora.

Member of Parliament for Nzega Urban Constituency Hussein Bashe has praised President Magufuli for the construction, rehabilitation, and upgrading of the Zogolo Health Centre to become a first-ever Nzega Town Council hospital.

The constituency has also witnessed the speedup construction of school blocks among others with 74 students’ sponsorships in secondary schools.

At least Sh700m was earmarked for the construction of Zogolo Health Centre to upgrade it to a town council hospital and an additional Sh500m was approved for the upgrading.

The funds were used to construct a theatre, child, and mother wards, rehabilitation of mortuary, construction of servants’ quarters, laboratories and rehabilitation of OPD among others.

Also in the list of upgrading was the maintenance on the electrical wiring system of the health centre with the remaining Sh200m being used for the purchase of medical tools like X rays and CT Scan.

Bashe said he was grateful for the government initiative to enable the residents in the area have access to health services.

“President Magufuli has been a guardian of this constituency, he has never let us down whenever we ask him for help,” he said.

Among the projects currently being undertaken in Nzega includes the Water Pipe Project from Lake Victoria and the construction of 31 solar boreholes in all villages in the district which will not be reached by the Lake Victoria project.

Nzega Urban Constituency started during the 2015 general elections, but had been facing many challenges from infrastructure, energy, health, education and water shortages.

In 2015, Hussein Bashe won the post of MP via the ruling CCM ticket, after his attempt in 2005 and 2010 hit a snag.
