CHINESE president Xi Jinping is likely to attend a meeting between US leader Donald Trump and North Korean head of state Kim Jong Un scheduled be held next month.
It was reported by the Japanese paper that Jinping will also travel to Singapore to witness historic meeting on June 12.
The Mainichi Shimbun's Washington-based correspondent cited American diplomatic sources as saying there was a chance that Xi may meet Trump and Kim in Singapore.
In the report published on Friday, the Mainichi quoted a senior international negotiator with the National Security Council as telling reporters that "there is a possibility" the leader of a third country may take part.
Trump announced via a tweet on Thursday that his summit with Mr Kim will be held on June 12 in Singapore.
