André Gomes is close to confirming his exit from Barcelona FC. So much so that the Portuguese midfielder won't travel with his current teammates on their North America tour.
In the last few days the negotiations over his future have intensified as they look for a suitable solution for all parties.
At the moment, there are two clubs who appear to tick all the boxes: Arsenal and Juventus. They still need to agree on a fee though, with Barcelona valuing him at €20m.
However, neither Juve nor Arsenal are willing to pay that much and the most likely scenario is reaching a compromise of around €18m.
Barcelona will only consider a permanent transfer when it comes to Gomes as well as including various performance related bonuses.
Furthermore, so Barça don't lose more on the €35m they spent to bring the midfielder to the Camp Nou, they'd want to retain a percentage of any future transfer the Portuguese midfielder makes.
