Mohamed Salah has "something special" and is ready to become as valuable to Liverpool as Philippe Coutinho.
That is the opinion of Arsenal and Premier League legend Thierry Henry, who has been hugely impressed with the Egyptian's second stint in England.
Salah struggled to settle at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho and eventually left London for Italy, where he flourished.
Jurgen Klopp brought Salah back to England this summer in a deal worth almost £40million and he has averaged a goal every other game since.
He could not find the net against his old manager on Saturday but Henry does not believe Salah will be bothered by that when he is still busy proving his worth to those matter — the fans.
"I don’t think it’s about proving Mourinho anything, but proving the Liverpool fans that you are this guy, that you can be a player like Coutinho," Henry said on Sky Sports.
Asked what exactly he likes about Salah, Henry replied: "I like the fact that he is direct — we don’t have a lot of players like that in the game anymore.
"And yes, people will say sometimes that he needs four opportunities to score a goal. When he is able to finish all the opportunities he has then he will be more than lethal for this club."
