ARSENAL are set to land Atlanta United hotshot Miguel Almiron in January - in a deal worth £13m.
Arsenal were heavily linked with the MLS starlet over the summer but failed to complete a deal.
Back in July, Express Sport revealed both Newcastle and West Ham were also set to miss out on Almiron due to Atlanta's unwillingness to sell until 2019.
Manager Darren Eales was unwilling to let the playmaker leave the club due to their Eastern Conference title chances but has now confirmed his star man will depart,
"Almiron's future is already decided and he will go to England in the European winter market," he told FOX Deportes USA.
The American outlet claim Arsenal are the club who have agreed to meet Atlanta's valuation for Almiron, who has netted 12 goals and assisted 13 times this season.
His performances this season, alongside in-form Josef Martinez, have helped Atlanta rise to the top of the MLS Eastern Conference.
Speaking earlier this year, head coach Eales hinted that the club were preparing for the departure of Almiron.
"At the moment we’re pretty excited with the team we’ve got, with the team we’re building,” he said.

“I’m sure there’s going to be continued interest for our players because we’ve got some amazing young players, they’re very talented.
“I’m sure at some stage there will be that too-good-to-refuse offer that comes in and that’ll be the right move for everybody — for the club, for the player, for the league. So when that comes, we’ll cross that bridge.”

Almiron could be set to replace Aaron Ramsey who looks set to leave the club after failing to agree a new deal.
The Welshman's Arsenal contract expires next summer and the two parties are no closer to agreeing fresh terms.
Almiron is a similar player to Ramsey but plays in a slightly more advanced role.
