JUAN MATA has spoken of his admiration for Arsenal manager Unai Emery as reports suggest he could make a shock switch to the Gunners.
Mata is out of contract at Manchester United at the end of the season and is yet to commit his future - despite the club’s best efforts to tie him down.
The Daily Star claim Arsenal are ready to sign him on a free if Aaron Ramsey - also out of contract in the summer - leaves the Emirates.
And Mata, who worked under Emery at Valencia, admits he is a huge admirer of his fellow Spaniard.
In a new biography about the Arsenal boss, 30-year-old Mata said: "I think what’s special about Unai is the way he communicates.
"In his talks, he used to write three, four or five things on the board: those were the points he was going to bring up.
"Sometimes it was five phrases or metaphors he was going to explain. I’ve never seen that with my other managers.
"They usually revolved around phrases about positivity, camaraderie, the values he wanted to create in his team.
"He communicated by means of the points he had written down.

"His talks could go on and on because he didn’t notice the time, but what he said was always intense, and he would ask you questions.
“It became a kind of seminar."
Mata could be just one of a number of players set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the current campaign.
Ander Herrera, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Ashley Young are also out of contract.

David de Gea, Anthony Martial, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia have deals which run out in June as well, but United have the option of extending them for a further year.
Manager Jose Mourinho is keen to overhaul his squad after a difficult start to the season.
Reports claim he will be given a £100million warchest to try and turn things around, with a new centre-back the top priority.

Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane is said to be the United boss’s number one target.
And he could reignite his interest in Leicester’s Harry Maguire or Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng after seeing deals for the pair collapse in the summer.
They have also been linked with Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.
