ARSENAL striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will struggle to score more than 15 goals in the Premier League this season.
That is the shock opinion of Gunners icon Nigel Winterburn.
The Gunners paid a club-record fee of around £57million to sign the front-man in January and he returned 10 goals in just 13 top-flight matches after joining from Borussia Dortmund last term.
That followed 13 goals in 16 games in the first half of the season with Dortmund.
Aubameyang also scored over 15 goals in his previous three full seasons with the Bundesliga giants having become recognised as one of Europe’s finest marksmen.

Yet after a slow start to the current campaign and despite encouraging signs of a link-up with fellow striker Alexandre Lacazette, Winterburn fears the two will underperform.
Both have scored one goal apiece this term having netted in the 3-2 win at Cardiff before the international break.
Though that’s only one off of last year’s two Golden Boot front-runners Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah, who are on two each, Winter burn insists Arsenal’s duo cannot compare to the division’s other top forwards.
"I'm disappointed in the way Aubameyang has started the season for Arsenal," he told Sporting Bet.
"I thought he was going to start very strongly having started so well after signing in January last year.

I don’t see Lacazette or Aubaeyang getting much more than 15 goals each in the Premier League this season.
"However, he's a striker who is always looking to create chances and he could have had a few goals already this season if it weren't for missed chances.
"I don’t see Lacazette or Aubaeyang getting much more than 15 goals each in the Premier League this season.
“I don't see either of them competing with the likes of [Sergio] Aguero or Kane, no matter how much was spent on them.”
Despite that, Winterburn is confident that their output could increase outside of the Premier League in cup competitions - with Arsenal’s Europa League group stage campaign starting in mid-week.

And the former defender - who spent 13 years at the north London club and won 11 trophies - hopes to see the two strikers start more games together under Unai Emery.
He added: "I think they can achieve 25 goals in all competitions because they're very good strikers, but not in the Premier League alone.
“I think Lacazette and Aubameyang have to start together, even if that means Lacazette as striker and Aubameyang out on the left.
"That gives him more freedom to use his pace and get on the end of passes, rather than perform as a target man with his back to goal."
