Germany coach Joachim Low is unhappy with Mesut Ozil for displaying a lack of application in training, according to reports.
The 29-year-old missed the end of Arsenal’s Premier League campaign with a back injury but is expected to play a prominent role in Germany’s defense of the World Cup in Russia.
Low’s side faces Austria in a warm-up match in Klagenfurt on Saturday, before completing their preparations with a game against Saudi Arabia in Leverkusen next week.

According to Faz.Net Low has been unhappy with Ozil’s work-rate during Germany’s training camp in South Tyrol.
Low’s assistant coach Bernd Schneider, meanwhile, is quoted as saying: ‘We expect him to challenge himself in training to build up his resilience. Mesut is always receiving treatment.’
Ozil has been out of action since the start of this month when he was heavily criticised by Arsenal legend Martin Keown for a perceived lack of effort following his subdued performance during Arsenal’s Europa League semi-final defeat against Atletico Madrid.
Earlier this week Low was forced to contend with a controversial moment when Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger and Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich were pictured coming to blows.
