Alex Iwobi among the African footballers who born in England and play in an English team from under 16, 17 and 18 before decides to play for Nigeria national team in 2015.

Iwobi who is currently Arsenal midfielder revealed that his family played a big part in his decision to play for Nigeria instead of England.

Iwobi joined Arsenal in 2004, it reported that his Uncle Jay Jay Okocha handed him to Arsenal as he believes that one day he will be balloon d’or winner and best African player.

Ten matches that Iwobi played in England under 16, 17 and 18 almost he scored  goals and much more to the team in attacking and assists.

Arsenal has used him since he was 13 years in senior team, his performance was very brilliant. Arsene Wenger proved that he can help Arsenal for the permanently in first team 2015 and  he played 44 matches netted 6 goals.

Iwobi has proven that is an important to Nigerian ‘Super Eagle’ as he netted 2 goals when his team won 4-2 against American giant Argentina 4-2 in friendly match played Krasnodar Stadium in Russia.

Scored 4 goals for 14 matches he played for the Super Eagle since 2015, while late Rashidi Yekini all-time top goal scored for the Super Eagle were 37 goals for the 58 caps.
