Azam FC on Friday will face Lipuli FC in the Vodacom Premier League encounter at the Samora Stadium in Iringa 16:00 East African Time.
Azam will be looking for a win to maintain pressure on the top of the league table as a win today will put them level on points with second-placed Yanga but with an inferior goal difference.
Simba tops the standings with 42 points, five points ahead Yanga have 37 points from 18 league games.
The ‘Ice cream makers” sits on the third place on the table with 34 points while Lipuli FC is languishing on the 9th place with a meager 19 points.
Azam FC official spokesman Jafary Iddi Maganga told Azania Post that everything is in place for the game.
“We do respects Lipuli and its technical bench, we know the experience they have in the league but what we need is three points.
“We will miss Himid Mao who is nursing an injury but we are happy that our assistant captain Agrey Morris is back from injury,” he said.
Lipuli FC assistant coach Suleiman Matola said the three points are very important to make sure that we remain in the league.
“As a team, we are going to make sure that we will win against Azam FC even though the match will be tough,” he said.
Lipuli FC has managed only four wins and seven draws in their 18 games they have played this season.
