Azam FC make history winning Mapinduzi cup for two years consecutive, a record they made in 2012 and 2013 in their back to back last year and this year did the same, thanks to Agrey Morris for the last penalty that brought 'Wanarambaramba defense to their trophy.
It was an attractive final due to both sides playing fantastic football, in the first 15 minutes Azam FC seemed as they needed to put the ball in the nett but failed to do it, Uganda Authority Revenue (URA) as well was attacking strongly in 60 minutes back to back attacking, good goalkeeping of Razak Abalora was helpful for Azam FC to defend their championship.
Mapinduzi Cup is the cup that started with group stage, semi final and then final is the final stage that associates most teams from Tanzania Mainland and host Zanzibar while one team guest from East Africa country.
Azam FC is the club with most Mapinduzi trophies winning it 4 times, Simba won it three times.
Singida United left full back Shafik Batambuze was named as the best player of the tournament, Batabuze won man of the match 3 times before yesterday's final named as the best player. URA goal keeper Nafia Alionzi is the best goal keeper.
The winner Azam FC has received Tshs. 10 million with the cup while URA took away Tshs. 5 million.
